Q: How
can I change unit of measurement, cases into pieces?
A: Go
to Utilities and click Company Setup. Click Folder 2 and press Modify.
Now you can make changes in this folder. Save and exit. Go back to Products
and verify the change.
Q: How can
I apply credit for a returned merchandise?
A: Open Sales, click Credit/Debit
Memo. Click New and enter Custumer ID, Invoice and Items. You can pull out
each information by pressing F2 when a blank box is highlighted in green.
Enter the credit amount applied to either Ret (for broken merchandise) or
RW (for Returned to Warehouse). Click Save and exit.
Open A/R and Receipts A. Click New and pull out the Customer ID. Enter the
discount amount in the Recd Am first and click Payment. Distribute discounted
amount to corresponding invoice. You can only save when the total discount
is same as Recd Am.
If you return to Invoice under Sales, you will see the updated balance.
Q: The Packing Slip is not printing
properly?
A: Go to Sales module and open Sales Setup. Click Folder
4 and click Modify. Under Packing Slip Title, select one of the forms and
Click Save and Exit.
It's usually recommended to make selection of a form according to your printer
format when you setup AIS. In case you change the printer, you need to try
different forms to see which one works best for the selected printer.
Q: When I tried to open
an invoice or a sales order, the program says it's been used by another person?
A: It happens when the program is opened more than once in
the same comnputer. Remember to exit completely after use to avoid this kind
of warning. It also happens when the program is installed in the server computer
and several people are using it thru server instead of thru each station.
Q: I am replacing old
computers to brand new ones. What do I do with AIS program?
A: It's simple. Just copy the AIS folder from the old computer
and paste into the same drive in your new computer.
Q: How do I make a back
up AIS file in case something happens to my computer?
A: Insert a blank CD or a Zip disk
and copy the entire AIS folder into it. It's highly recommended.
Q: My picture folder
is in my computer but the images don't show up under Products?
A: If you know where your picture folder
is located (drive C, F or by other name), go to AIS Utilities, click Company
Set Up and verify if the the Picture Directory corresponds to the right drive.
Q: How can I export Item
List to Excel?
A: Go to Data Exchange and click
AIS Data Export.
In case, the export doens't work properly, check the Data Exchange Setup:
for the data export to work, it should show EXPEXC01. If it doesn't show this
name, click Options. Click Modift and select Export AIS Data to MS-Excel and
save.
return to AIS Data export and it should work now. For more detailed information,
go to Data Exchange module.
Q: How do I renew AIS license?
B: Mail us the yeraly license fee with a copy of Activation/License
Codes. Your new license numbers are based on them. To print a copy, go to
AIS Setup and click Activation/Lic. Codes, click print.
