My
work investigates the synergy between places and memories. It
is the materialization of an experienced reality subject to all
kind of reinterpretation. The concrete present emerges from an
internalized confrontation, reminding me of the imperviousness
of the past. Shards of images and information leap between the
present and absent void. This void reveals a space within which
to discover a personal conflict about believing and recognizing
belief. The void occupies the space in between what I am able
to believe and being able to believe, as a haunting beauty of
memory. My work explores that void, which divides and connects,
and our perceptions of and responses to these "in between"
spaces. |
